This is one of the most common questions I am asked and it is also one of the most difficult to answer. It's a bit like asking a builder how much it costs to build a wall without giving him the dimensions or telling him the bricks you want to use or the type of brickwork required.

Calculating the cost of a website depends on many factors such as:

• What type of website is needed (e.g. business website, blog, forum etc.)?
• How many pages are needed?
• How many unique graphical design elements are required?
• How many unique features (e.g. contact form, calculator, slideshow etc.) are required?
• Do domain names, website hosting, legal docs etc. already exist?
• Is help needed writing the website content?

Once we know the answer to these questions and others, we are in a position to formulate an estimate of the work required and can provide an accurate proposal/quote.
