We were asked by the committee of Arley's new Community Centre to construct a website that could be used by multiple community organisations in the village.

As well as Arley Community Centre, it also had to have sections for Arley Community Association and Old Arley Residents Society as well as links to other community websites such as the Arley News website and local authorities.

Other requirements were that it should be quick and easy to update and local news stories could be added to the website.

We achieved this by designing a nature-themed website that fitted in with the rural feel of the village, built upon our powerful content management system (CMS) that made updates to the website quick and simple.

Each of the organisations utilising the website were given a separate section accessed by an intuitive navigation system on the left-hand side and the editors can extend this to encompass other organisations, if required. We also provided the functionality for the editors to create news stories that are automatically updated on the home page.

We recommended that, with so much information on the website, visitors had the option to search for what they were looking for and after agreement by the committee, search functionality was also implemented.
